Pinot noir Kugelberg
Comes from an the exceptionnal terroir of Kugelberg, mainly made of limestone soils, located at Rorschwihr. These Pinot Noir vines were planted in 1986, coming from Burgundy. They produce a very elegant wine with a great ability for ageing.
Complex nose with aromas of very ripe red fruits, underlined by wooden and vanillas hints. The mouth feel is rich, powerful, with a good length and a well balanced final. The tanins are silky although very present meaning a great ability for ageing.
The Pinot noir Kugelberg goes along very well with red meats and games in sauce.
To be served at 15°C. It should ideally be decanted 1 hour in carafe before serving to fully express its aromas. Made for ageing at least 10 years, its tanins will melt from year after year.
