Description
Clos du Zahnacker
Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer
The three grape varieties are harvested at the same time, pressed together and as a consequence, vinified together.
The Clos du Zahnacker is 1,24 ha and benefits from a great south-east sun exposure all around the year. The soils are alternativelymade of limestone and marl.
Its nose is powerful, intense with notes of citrus fruits, figs and flintstone. The mouthful is also powerful and rich with a great aromatic persistence. The final note is fresh and well balanced between citrus, spices and mineral.
Drink it with a sole meunière, a veal fillet, a vol-au-vent or a roasted goose.
Serve between 10 and 12°C. It should ideally be decanted 1 hour in carafe before serving to fully express its aromas. It can age from 5 to 15 years.
